The UMBC Summer Day Camp has a plethora of weekly programs and activities aimed at delivering both fun and learning opportunities for kids.
Week 1 – TBD – June 8th – 12th
Week 2 – TBD – June 15th – 19th (Closed Friday, June 19th for Juneteenth)
Week 3 – Under the Big Top – June 22nd – 26th
Come one, come all! Campers will participate in carnival games where everyone’s a winner! This week will feature giant board games, sweet treats, and a photo booth. Campers will also have an opportunity to show off their silly side by participating in Wacky Tacky Day.
Week 4 – TBD – June 29th – July 3rd (Closed Friday, July 3rd for Independence Day)
Week 5 – TBD – July 6th – 10th
Week 6 – At the Beach – July 13th – 17th
Time to soak up some sun! This week will feature a Hawaiian shirt day, sponge relays, and a camp-wide water balloon toss competition. Campers can participate in tie-dyeing their camp shirt during arts and crafts! A pool party featuring music, snow cones, and water games will highlight the week.
Week 7 – TBD – July 20th – 24th
Week 8 – TBD – July 27th – July 31st
Week 9 – Color Wars – Aug 3rd – 7th
During this widely anticipated week, campers and counselors will be split into two teams, Black and Gold, to compete for the coveted trophy! Each day campers and counselors will compete in competitive recreational and intellectual games. Although this will be a competitive week, counselors and staff will continue to place a strong emphasis on sportsmanship, respect, and fair play.
